Is leasing a car halal?

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

Leasing a car in itself is permissible, provided that there are no other conditions attached to the transaction. If it is conditional that the lessee applies for full coverage insurance as well, it is permissible according to some scholars. However, most scholars deem it impermissible, therefore it would be better to avoid it.
