Offering salah behind an imam who speaks ill of scholars of the past

Asamualikum sir I am asking a question for my self not for the public the imam in my masjid is salafi and he thinks that and says openly that asharia are misguided and say bad about their creed and they call even imam nawawi misguided because he was a great ashari scholar should pray behind him or pray alone or some time if I pray it's ok wasalam

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

The Prophet SAW has mentioned numerous ahadith in regards to holding firm on to the congregation and jama'ah of the Muslimeen. Such as, mentioned in the Sunan of Imam Tirmizi RA in which the Prophet SAW is reported to have said عليكم بالجماعة, loosely translated as hold on to the congregation. Therefore the jama'ah in the Masjid should not be forsaken because of the Imam talking ill about a scholar. Although the Imam should be told to stop with wisdom.
